The Japanese Bilingual Bicultural Program (JBBP) at Presidio Middle School serves children grades 6-8 in the SF Unified School District. JBBP is a 40-year old program bringing authentic Japanese language and culture to the children of San Francisco.

Students who are enrolled in the JBBP Japanese Bilingual Pathway at their elementary schools will be enrolled in Japanese.  There are some changes to this program that will be implemented in the 2016-2017 school year.  Please see this handout for more information.  There was a presentation in January that went over some of these changes.  Click HERE for the slides from that presentation.

For students not in the Japanese Bilingual Program, they will have the opportunity to take Japanese or Spanish as their elective starting in 7th grade.
